"Unemployed"
This show had a call to artist to do their own interpretation of the phrase "Send Help."
The timing of this show couldn't have been better. It was right when the Economy crashed. I was an out of work artist (like everyone I know) and was desperately searching for a job. The curators had worked really hard at getting the word out about this show. There was the potential for everyones work to get noticed. So I did the only thing I could think of to make the most of the situation. I mounted a poster sized print of my resume and slapped it up on the wall.
I wanted my piece to shed a humorous light on the unfortunate situation that EVERYONE was in (and still is in) at the time. I think it did just that.
